Hi, I’m teddey hicks.

I’m happy you’re here.

I know you’re having a hard time right now. Does it feel like you can’t get ahead, or you’re just spinning your wheels every day? Do you feel like you never have time for the things you WANT to do because you’re so preoccupied with the things you HAVE to do? Are you always exhausted, stressed, and overwhelmed, but can’t really figure out what you’re doing wrong?

I lived in that place for a looooooong time, so I really understand what you’re going through. I know how it feels to juggle countless balls but never really feel like you’re doing it right. Or just being so tired and distracted that you can only do the bare minimum each day.

How is stress and overwhelm showing up in your life?

For me, it looked like eating and drinking too much every day, taking naps instead of crossing things off my to do list, and only showing up about 50% of the way for my family because that’s all I had to give.

Maybe you’re finding it super easy to inhale that entire package of Oreos before you’ve even made it through one episode of Ted Lasso.

Maybe you’re so tired you collapse onto the sofa at 6pm and zone out for 4 hours before dragging yourself to bed.

Maybe your relationships are suffering because your frazzled nerves cause you to snap at the people you love the most.

However the stress and overwhelm is sabotaging you right now, there are solutions. I’ve been there, and I’ve spent many years finding the best tools to make life better.

I want to help you enjoy your life again.

Love, Teddey

  • Personal Life: Hicks lives in Maryland with her husband and children. She often draws on her personal experience of healing from disordered eating and chronic anxiety to guide and inspire others.

Key techniques she incorporates in her Coaching include:

  • The Law of Attraction: Hicks uses Law of Attraction principles to help clients manifest their desired lives. She emphasizes that energetic and mindset alignment is a necessary first step toward attracting personal success, self-confidence, and happiness.

  • Mindset work: Hicks' coaching heavily emphasizes the importance of mindset. She works to help clients identify and reprogram limiting subconscious beliefs that sabotage their goals related to food, body image, self-care, and life in general. She uses affirmations and other tools to help clients change their inner narrative and align their mindset with their ambitions.

  • Energetic techniques: In addition to mindset work, Hicks uses energetic techniques to help clients process past traumas and release emotional blocks. These include:

    • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or "Tapping": A technique where clients tap on specific meridian points on their body to send a calming signal to the brain in order to move past limiting beliefs.

    • Hypnosis & Guided Meditation: Hicks is trained in hypnosis and uses it as a tool for deeper subconscious work. This allows her to help clients access and reprogram the beliefs that drive self-sabotaging behaviors.

Affirmations: Hicks is a proponent of using daily affirmations to create a positive mindset, as detailed in her books My Life Gets Better Every Day and Eat & Be Happy. Affirmations help clients train their subconscious mind to support their desires.

  • Intuitive eating: As a certified intuitive eating counselor, Hicks can help clients who struggle with food and body image reconnect with their internal cues of hunger and fullness. This approach moves away from restrictive diets and toward making food choices that feel good mentally and physically, helping clients form a peaceful relationship with food and release weight loss as a primary goal.

What does a Life Coach do?*

  • Goal setting and planning: Coaches help clients set realistic, specific goals and develop an actionable plan to achieve them.

  • Accountability: They provide consistent support and check-ins to help clients stay on track and move forward with their plans.

  • Overcoming limiting beliefs: A coach helps clients identify self-doubt, fear of failure, and other mental barriers that prevent personal growth.

  • Providing clarity: By asking powerful, thought-provoking questions, coaches assist clients who feel "stuck" or directionless to gain a clearer understanding of what they want.

  • Skill development: Depending on the client's needs, a coach may provide tools and techniques for better time management, communication, or other life skills.

*If you are experiencing mental health challenges, emotional distress, or unresolved trauma, a therapist is a more appropriate professional for you.

"What I got with Teddey was guidance...to come out a stronger, more fulfilled person.  I started out thinking I needed to fix my body and ended up making changes in self love and acceptance.  It's a wonderful journey that any one who struggles with body image would be lucky to be a part of.  I just wish I had done it sooner!
